    Three-cornered leeks. They can be used as a substitute for chives, their flowers sprinkled on salads. In fact, the whole plant is audible (that was meant to be 'edible' of course but my spellchecker changed it & I like it!). Listen to the earth!

    Mr T won a meal out for two to a posh restaurant and we are obviously googling it to get ourselves more excited, however it states dress code as ‘elegant’. Not sure we will be that extreme but I hope we can make the effort for one night!

    Is there anything more satisfying than eating venison that you have shot yourself, cooked with wild brambles and wild garlic from the garden and served with home grown tatties?

    Wonderful walk today, stocked up with Kelp, Sea Spaghetti, Dillisk Nori and Pepper Dulse

  13. Wild garlic is out v early this year... Excellent for pesto or as an alt to bulb garlic - easy to id as it smells of, er, garlic. Can be stored in oil if chopped, as pesto or frozen :) Great if you're storing food for (un)expected events

    Clover can be eaten raw in a salad or cooked or even dried to make tea. Apparently they taste better boiled. The leaves are high in vitamins and proteins and have quite an acquired taste.
