    Entirely agree with on this, and I say this as a reasonably devout Christian, have had their time. State education should, and must, be secular to avoid excluding anyone from it.

    Ageism towards the elderly is a problem. But please also include the young in discussions re: ageism. In the UK, children and infants do not get the same rights to have a discrimination-free education () or bodily autonomy () that adults get.

    Main consequence of lifting the cap would be less social integration. Evidence shows pupils going to already don't match local area (most stark is the fewer pupils from poor backgrounds). Full research:

    Small victory in this piece of news, the government appears to have ditched its promise on removing the cap on faith schools which would have allowed them to allocate more than 50% of places based on religion.

    Faith schools allowed to accept 100% based on religion. full stop. Is there anything more damaging to future generations than segregating kids based on their parents’ religion? How is this going to help communities integrate? I hate this. 😔
