    Zooming in, the structure of 's has become very impressive. A obvious wavenumber 5 pattern has developed with the eyewall, with these points representing mesovortices rotating cyclonically around. These features can locally enhance winds in the eyewall.

    This was a CATEGORY 2!!!!! Annihilated Galveston and Bolivar Peninsula....keep that in mind when watching

    10 years ago this AM, made landfall on the TX coast. It was "only a Cat. 2", but was a $30b hurricane (2017 $). Don't make same mistake judging as "only a Cat. 2". Disastrous rainfall , surge impacts regardless.
