    Planets: As of today there are 4173 exoplanets confirmed plus plenty of other candidate planets. Most were found by the Kepler Space Telescope. We've only searched a tiny area of sky close to Earth; the picture is the Kepler field of view from 2006.

    Launched in December, is undergoing in-orbit commissioning. Once ready, it will observe bright stars known to host as the planets transit across the star's disc. From the dip in brightness, it will measure very precisely the sizes of these exoplanets ✨🪐📏🛰️
