    I love how here and I noticed it a lot in Kare Kano that the frames just breathe. No moment but the sounds continue. The cicadas chirp or whatever cicadas do. The world continues to go back to normalcy. Shinji is welcomed back home. Great final sequence.

    And the structure of the episode bleeds into how well that normal life is portrayed and how his role as the pilot of Unit 01 can take away from it. Seeing three iterations of a daily routine was really nice to see because Day 2 has a clear difference in the atmosphere.

    I didn't like the actual nuclear conference or whatever that part of the episode felt clunky. Like I get what they were trying to get across but eh. What I did enjoy was Shinji getting upset by Misato not following orders similar to what he did in an earlier ep.

    The movie theater scene was really great because the light coming from the projector was used to imitate the 10 mm object. I think a 3rd Impact happens because I've seen that word thrown around a lot, but yeah more curious than anything. And Shinji's dead eyes.

    So Shinji actually runs away which I was pretty surprised by. Usually it's the idea of running away that is brought up and the character comes to realize that running away doesn't solve any of their problems, but here Shinji at least tries to leave a little bit. Also 26 eps?

    This scene reminded me a lot of FLCL with their gun battle. It's a mockery of war as children idolize that lifestyle without knowing the reality. At least this dude knows it's just toys and for fun. Going inside the Plug last ep made him realize it.
