    My heart aches for these children. I was 25 when I saw my uncle after he was shot in the head. It was so traumatizing. How can children grasp what they saw, plus the trauma of an unresponsive father & trying 2 drive? So sick of this madness & heartache! !

    After a Houston father was shot in the head while driving on the freeway, his sons, ages 8 and 6, had to steer the car to safety, their father dead and slumped over in the driver's seat. Permitless carry goes into effect in Texas on September 1.

    Two boys, ages 8 and 6, steered a car to safety in Houston on Friday night after their father was shot in the head and killed as he was driving. Police do not currently have a motive or suspect. This is the toll of daily gun violence in America.
