A5. The biggest challenge is relevance. If students don't see it, then it is hard to sustain. Standards are not written with that in mind and technology moves too quickly.

A2 Yes! Student interest drives my units in new directions each year. My unit on Indigenous knowledge has been centred around pipelines, youth activism and bushfires depending on what kids are talking about. Swim with the current of student interest, not against it.
