  2. Guess people have been debating about again lately. The only thing I have to say is if you've never suffered from clinical depression and/or cared for someone who has, consider yourself among the fortunate. It is not a joke, a punchline, a figment of the imagination.

  5. My neighbour messaged me to say she hadn’t seen or heard from me in a while & was worried. I explained that my MH hadn’t been great & she suggested a walk with a few other neighbours. She took the time to be kind. It meant the world.

    Telling someone who has depression to get a grip, pull themselves together or help themselves isn’t helpful. If they could do those things they wouldn’t be suffering - no one chooses to have depression. No one would want to.

    You can't fix another person's , but you can 💛 them where they're at, avoid giving advice, and ask "how can I help?" For me the answer was "sit & watch bad tv with me." PS get yourself support too - it's tough watching someone you love struggle. We all need more tlc.

  10. It's not an easy decision for most as to whether or not to take medication for . Please do not judge people for their choice, either way. They are doing the best they can.
