#depression again lately. The only thing I have to say is if you've never suffered from clinical depression and/or cared for someone who has, consider yourself among the fortunate. It is not a joke, a punchline, a figment of the imagination. -

My neighbour messaged me to say she hadn’t seen or heard from me in a while & was worried. I explained that my MH hadn’t been great & she suggested a walk with a few other neighbours. She took the time to be kind. It meant the world.

Telling someone who has depression to get a grip, pull themselves together or help themselves isn’t helpful. If they could do those things they wouldn’t be suffering - no one chooses to have depression. No one would want to.
