    The narrow drive to deepen (via controlled processes with select(ed) groups of citizens, f2f with no other options) seems to have abandoned that other key pillar - !

    A thread on boom risks/threats, inc (RS) Whilst the use of RS in recruiting & choosing participants for citizen forums has merits, it has downsides too but these are rarely discussed. Why is this?

    We're going through a strange phase of 'deliberative ' among a small, select(ed) group of citizens ( at the expense of !) using language like "normal" people or "real" people, as if anyone else is not 'normal' or 'real'!

    "Promote"? Deliver? Deliberative? Participative? boom centred on one particular f2f brand & not making good use of available tools for wider as well as deeper !

    Those resisting online & methods say 'they don't work' but aren't trying them so a self-fulfilling prophecy! I've facilitated 150 online forums so I know they work well!!!

    Glad to hear from anyone taking a broad view on mixed methods for both wider & deeper for a healthy We didn’t challenge the destructive blinkered binary government system just to replace it with a narrow lens!
