    This year’s CSHL drosophila meeting is superb! ! ! So many great talks and posters! If you missed my poster, here is a take-home : the ‘FRET-opsin’ voltage sensors from Schnitzer lab and Pieribone lab work super good in many types of neuron in alive fly! Try them!

    A policy to promote early career scientists meant nearly every talk at was by a grad student, postdoc or new PI. This made for a fantastic meeting, with the people DOING the actual exciting new work telling us about it. This “senior person” gave a poster!
