Well now I am part cyborg, had my operation yesterday and went well, now have an implant fitted, now for a few weeks rest before the real hard work begins learning to hear again! Thanks to

This doesn't adequately capture the moment that happened ten minutes later in the sound booth...when I broke down in tears and started bawling. My mom heard noises at the 20 decibel level for the first time in almost 10 years.
