    My friend Mel is gone. He was murdered like so many Black trans people are. We’re the same age. He taught me how to play spades and so much about plants. He even stayed at my place for a brief time. In shock. RIP Mel.

    The continued targeting of trans people of color demands that people of faith of speak up 🗣 We are ALL created in the imago dei—the image of God IS reflected in trans people.

    We're saddened to learn of the death of Royal Poetical Starz, a Black trans woman who was fatally shot in Miami Gardens, Fl. on Oct. 2, 2021. Starz’ death is at least the 40th violent death of a transgender or gender non-conforming person in 2021.

    Arlington, Texas 2021 Unsolved Murder Kiér Laprí Kartier, 21 of Dallas was found murdered shortly after 9:30 p.m. Thursday, September 30th, 2021. She was taken to the hospital where she unfortunately passed away.
