    Lifer for me! Male Western Tanager. Saw it in our yard while I was in the kitchen. Ran out with the camera, and bonus! Captured him with a bee in his beak :)

    Small bird on a fir branch. He's got a red head, a yellow body, black wings with spots of yellow, and a black tail. He has a bee in his beak.

    Virginia's Warbler was named after a person, not the state. This bird is on a conservation watch list because it breeds in a scattered range of western states. You may not be familiar with it as it's not often posted on Twitter.
