#100DaysOfCode Day 3: Data Structures Revision. . Today I wrote a C++ program to parse#bibtex files and load articles and authors. Implemented Binary Search Trees for sorting and searching articles and authors. . C++ feels comfy tbh.#cpluspluspic.twitter.com/G5xmaEe5aV

I got tired of searching over and over again which month the main SP/ML conferences occurred in any given year to complete
#BibTeX entries, so I bit the bullet and made a quick reference table for 2005-2019: http://www.jonathanleroux.org/conference_months.html … Python script provided to make your own. -
I have just used
#BibTeX for the first time to do referencing and my mind is blown. I reckon at least 4 days of shouting at microsoft word during my undergraduate dissertation could have been saved if I'd known any better. -
I made this #Python tool which converts a list of paper titles to their DBLP#BibTex entries saved in a .bib file. Check it out: https://github.com/todpole3/accio-bib … Powered by the surprisingly easy-to-use DBLP API: https://dblp.uni-trier.de/faq/13501473Prikaži ovu nit -

Just released version 1.1 of CL-BibTeX, a compatible implementation of
#BibTeX in#CommonLisp, including a BST-to-CL compiler. This release adds support for Embeddable Common#Lisp (ECL) and fixes a bug in the BST interpreter. https://github.com/mkoeppe/cl-bibtex …pic.twitter.com/Ck4zRKDGYb

One of my collaborators doesn't use
#bibtex and made custom labels for every bibliography entry. At the time, I didn't object as long as that person was the one dealing with it, but now that I'm putting my thesis together it's making me very, very sad

I just learned that
#pandoc can handle#LaTeX math and#BibTeX citations *directly* from#Markdown! Where has this been all my life?#ScientificWritingpic.twitter.com/QhI1hMZDtj

The
#DOI to#BibTeX converter code written in#Python from my earlier blog post is now an app on the scipython website: https://scipython.com/apps/doi2bib/ -

When you compile your first
#bibTeX references section in#LaTeX way too late in life, instantly realizing how much time you’ve wasted over the years...pic.twitter.com/jlHQcCwHxJ -
When you pick a citation manager you should *definitely* pick
@zotero or#Mendeley (or a#BibTeX manager if you want to be a nerd);#EndNote costs

, and might not be available if you move institutions or to a nonacademic job. I prefer @zotero because its open sourcehttps://twitter.com/JessicaCalarco/status/1035954746346168321 … -

I need a solution for reading a
#BibTeX file on#iOS.https://zbereczki.github.io/blog/2018/06/14/bibtex-ios.html … -
I wish this was the standard, at least for larger papers/pdfs. Quickly check a reference, and with one click you are back where you left.

A better control of
#bibtex files is our main goal: We have Bibtex as our internal data format. We just write out modified entries and keep the bib unmodified in other cases. -
#opencitations: We've created a couple of#bookmarklets to extract and download a#BibTeX or#RIS file containing the#bibliography of the PDF in the browser window with one click - just drag the bookmarklet to your bookmarks bar: https://www.scholarcy.com/bookmarklets -
Just came across this one: how to archive and cite a github repository. Interesting approach. https://guides.github.com/activities/citable-code/ … . Pity there is nothing for foreign repositories - generate
#bibtex entry from a#github link ?
