    Today we tested someone positive who had no home. Called : a) no shelter available b) no safe place to camp c) no budget for tents d) no capacity to support, and e) tell him to wear a mask and wash their hands We are not all in this together.

  5. BC has been in a public health emergency since 2016, and Jan-June of 2021 saw the highest ever number of illicit drug toxicity deaths. We should never be in a position where first responders do not carry naloxone, let alone there be a lack of funding from the province.

    Great news: BC has hit the 80% mark for full vaccination rate. Bad news: there are still 600,000+ people who are not vaccinated. They pose a real threat to overwhelm our health care system very quickly.

    Breaking News - BC Ministry of health concedes there are dozens of people who remain in hospital after their covid infection is over. These are not revealed to the public in daily counts. Confirmation comes in email from Ministry. 1/

    Hospital admissions continue at a very high rate in BC. 24-hours - 44 admitted. Check Total to date under currently hospitalized and deduct previous day.

    Ecole Poirier Elementary in Sooke has become the 7th Vancouver Island school to have In-school transmission of COVID-19. All except one are elementary schools. Island Health classifies them all as clusters.

    There's an unannounced outbreak of Covid-19 in grade 5 and 4 at St. George's school in Vancouver. Some classes have gone online. No formal announcement made either by school or Vancouver Coastal Health. tell us more and clarify please!

    Vancouver Island schools - six have In-school transmission and all clusters. Delta is running rampant. Elementary schools mostly. This is going to be a nightmare for parents.

    Once VCH realized internal census reports were being made public they altered internal reporting dropping a key stat - in hospital but not on covid protocols. This is how hospital numbers are sanitized and presented to public as "active infections." Compare the two 👇🏽

    Doing so is really unusual and goes against the typical way things work: respond to the reporter asking the questions 1st, then to everyone else. In this case, they forwarded me the same release AFTER sending it to the mailing list (which is how I saw it first). , folks!
