First day of Aiden’s journey of music. I hope I am able to stick to routine and rigour for him more than I was able to for myself.

Parenting is not easy. I’m truly doing my God given best. Some days it’s like riding a bike down hill. Other days it’s like riding a bike up the steepest hills w/ a front flat tires through pot holes!😂

I appreciate his new ability to articulate his emotions verbally. I have to be mindful of this bc if I had his tone at his age my momma would have popped me in the mouth.

All my waking hours last week have been talking to or about home tutors, special educators and therapists. I still haven’t found what I am looking for but I am stoked to find there are so many helpful souls out there.

This is such a big deal and James and I have been showering mini Blerd with so much love. 4th and 5th are the toughest two years on kids who are on the spectrum and we were very worried with him heading into 4th, at a new completely new school. I’m just so proud.

It takes a special woman to raise children with special needs. Don't forget to lean on others when you need too.

Thank you for almost 4 years keeping my 6S+ safe. You lasted one of those years with my son, whose ASD makes him fidget with the case. It still works great even when dropped in this condition.

Also grateful to the passengers of flight 1826 for their words of support. I’m overwhelmed by the number of strangers who came up to us to say, “We understand. We feel you.” Thank you for your compassion. 🙏🏽

Hey hey here, coming at you with my annual reminder that when passing out candy this year, you will more than likely encounter a child on the spectrum. DO give positive reactions to costume DON’T rush as they pick from the bowl, as they will insist to choose.

M not someone who gets impressed easily as many would know but I am being constantly blown over by my son’s grasping power and memory.

  18. Having a child with Autism is asking said child repeatedly (10+ times) about an event / task only to get a call from the school because everyone is confused.

  20. I had a challenging day. But this evening is going surprisingly well. I’ve found when my boys start melting down the first things to go are outside stimuli (tv&games) it just too much to process. Then they have to earn it back over time (days) by showing self control.
