Ok and , I'm typing up guidelines for a question-less quiz. Here's what I've got so far. Am I missing anything?

Hi , is there somewhere I can find more silly, visual system of linear equations problems like this? I made this one based off of something I saw on here, but I can't remember where I saw it. Thanks!

Teacher Rotations make block days FLY by... It also “tricks” students into doing over 50 math problems! I’m very lucky that I work with teachers who are willing to rotate with other teachers kids. My rotation was turkeys in the oven with systems

Algebra 1 teachers: I need some suggestions of more ways to teach solving equations than just the rote "do the inverse, get x by itself" things I did in school. I used some yesterday and loved it (though not all of the kids were into it 😢). 1/2

This is my all time favorite way to do exit tickets. I learn so much about exactly where misunderstandings occur and the kids blow me away with their level of detail.

Discussed absolute value in Algebra 1 class, and the 2nd volunteer described it as "the distance from 0". That may have made my day, not describing it as switching signs or making negatives positive (which is about the only thing I usually hear).

It seems there’s a movement happening in math education toward more open & rich problems that expose larger grain math concepts, then pivoting to mechanics/procedures. For those of that have made this shift: -What do you measure? -How do you grade?

I am so thankful for math teachers who blog!! I always know awesome activities are just one google search away! Shoutout to for your bucket o’ lies activity and for your quadratic sorting activity! Used both today to review solving quads!

If you need a new review game to engage students, then I highly recommend making a Prize Punch board. It’s cheap and easy to make. Played this during our Algebra 1 “camp” and Ss LOVED it!

Who else uses problems like this? Tell me more! I currently teach Alg 1 and love this idea... Do you give any rules like “must use a multi step equation”? Do you frame it?
