I remain frustrated by people who act like remote librarianship and virtual instruction are temporary. Why intentionally move back to a model that was inaccessible for many? We can't discuss DEI without acknowledging how many people aren't able to visit a library.

More focus on mid-career stuff like fighting burnout (hint: unpaid labor =|= solution), changing areas of focus, switching roles, learning new skills, updating tech knowledge. And a way to participate that’s not in-person conferences.

Hi
#alaac21 I hear you’re looking for members, so I’ll tell you why I’m not a member anymore: I was bored. I’m mid-career and came to realize ALA wanted my dues and unpaid labor and offered nothing in return.
