The average temperature, wind speed, and windchill in Gambell Alaska (St Lawrence Island) over the last 78 hours was -6.2F (-21.2C), 40.5mph, & -37.5F (-38.6C) respectively. Visibility most of that times was under 2 miles. Brutal combination of winds and temperature!

The Fairbanks International Airport reported a temperature of 8°F yesterday morning, snapping a long, 34 day stretch of temperatures below 5°F. This streak ends up being the 4th longest on record, with the most recent top 10 stretch ending back in January of 1975.
