  6. My god. I’ve just watched Episode 3 of . It tells the story of the disaster. What an incredible piece of television it was. Even if you don’t watch this show, this episode is a stand-alone you can watch in isolation. So important this story is told.

    A pleasure and honour to have got to know Charles Nunn during my coverage of the 50th anniversary of . We kept in touch over the past few years. This NYE spent writing a short tribute to him could not have been better spent.

  14. The Coal Board /government refused to clear remaining tips and finally TOOK MONEY from the fund set up for the survivors to do it. Outrageous!!!

    On 21 October 1966, thousands of tonnes of coal tip waste slid down a mountainside and devastated the mining village of Aberfan. The black mass crashed through the local school. Gaynor Madgwick was 8 years old, and this is her story.
