    Once again, I stopped the U.S. House of Representatives from funding the failed project. A state that doesn't even produce nuclear waste shouldn't be forced to serve as the nation’s nuclear waste dump. More on my efforts here:

    Greenlighting as a nuclear waste dump will endanger the health, safety & security of Nevadans. Yesterday, & I called on to zero out funding for this dangerous project & ensure his actions match his rhetoric.

    My efforts also ensured that this measure didn't include any funding to revive the failed project. A state without a single nuclear power plant should not have to shoulder the entire nation’s nuclear burden.

    I hope this is a rare moment when Nevadans can take at his word, despite his budgets including funding to reopen & turn NV's backyard into a nuclear waste dump. The Trump Admin must abandon reopening Yucca once and for all.

    Nevada Democrat opposing Yucca nuclear waste storage bill: "You heard the legislation before you now, Screw Nevada 2.0, is a work of compromise, a bipartisan effort, not perfect but a step forward. That frankly is an opinion. It's not the facts."

    Hey , maybe you could ask him why Kavanaugh ruled to relaunch construction of over the interests of Nevadans. FYI: Merrick Garland, the guy you didn’t bother meeting with 2 years ago, dissented in that very same case

    . suggested he'd oppose reopening . To hold him & his admin to his word, I wrote to & requesting no funds for Yucca be included in future budget requests. Yucca must remain a hole in the ground

    A university-owned nuclear reactor in Arkansas is being contained after cleanup efforts and readied for transport to the Nevada National Security Site where it will be disposed
