    Just received my copies of this great book. I wish this book was available when my children were younger. They used to tell me ‘you can’t be a nurse, you must be a doctor’. My wife’s nursery children will hopefully enjoy reading it too!

  6. This year will be my 40th and 5 years on from my breast cancer diagnosis...still here 🤞🏼...so many reasons to celebrate 2020 as well as to all those who’ve been on this rollercoaster and those who’ve supported me/others 💕 xxx

  7. 15yrs a CAMHS nurse. In 2000 I was told they hadn’t had a nurse in community CAMHS since 1984 as it hadn’t worked out well! In & I say CAMHS nurses-you are fabulous. Anyone is thinking of this career pathway DM me!

    Yesterday I was randomising adults to a kidney trial and spinning blood samples in a centrifuge; today I've looked after babies with bronchiolitis and bribed toddlers with chocolate buttons to have their inhalers. Nursing truly is so varied!

    Day 4 and my team, Kyenjojo are off to visit local hospitals and health centres in the Rwenzori region of Uganda. Looking forward to seeing the work and challenges faced by nurses and midwives

    The primary school has asked kids to come in dressed up as someone who inspires them and /or what they want to be. It’s nice to see that he wants to be me must be doing something right as father and a nurse role modelling behaviours.
