    Thread: For the past few years as we have been out planting we noticed the reduced number of indigenous trees. When we visited Kakamega forest (tropical forest) we came face to face with indigenous trees that are rare and almost extinct.

    We ate wild berries and leaves from indigenous shrubs with amazing medicinal properties. That was where the idea of the tree museum was born. We decided to plant a a living, breathing museum by collecting as many rare trees as possible.
