It looks like a still from the #WickerMan but it was taken on the 14th April 1924, during a break from the rain at the inauguration of Fenton Park. In opening the park, with a gold key, Mayor Frank Collis said "It looks like someone has made the desert smile."

Scanning some old negatives, I came across these images taken by my brother at Burrow Head in Wigtownshire in 1988. These timbers formed the legs of the Wicker Man in the 1973 film, and they survived for many years after filming. #wickerman

Visiting the area where I grew up and stopped at some familiar places. The site of the May Day parade & search for Rowan Morrison & the churchyard where it was claimed she turned into a hare. Unfortunately the Green Man was closed or I would have stopped for a drink #Wickerman
