    Why I didn’t report the violence I experienced… Victim-blaming: “You lead him on” “He would never do that” “That’s exaggerating” “You have no proof” “Boys will be boys” “You never said no” “Did you scream?” Etc.

    this has taken alot in me but here you go, he is my family member who used to be my guardian when i was a toddler and i couldn’t bring myself to face the fact that it actually happened with me. my aunt and cousin would never believe me because i was a kid

    I was 13, I didn’t know what was happening to me, they posted pictures of me online afterwards. I was 15, he told me it didn’t go all the way in, so it wasn’t r*pe. I was 17, he was my bestfriend, I was asleep. Don’t ask me No one took me seriously. Ever.

    One of the reasons why women do not feel safe to talk about their experiences is because there are way to many people who blame it back on her.
