Throughout her over 48 years of service, USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) had a mistake in her name on the fantail. The second "K" was flipped and welded upside down. The Kitty Hawk is currently en-route to Brownsville, Texas, for scrapping.

When catapult officers reach the end of their tour aboard a carrier, it is tradition to launch their boots off the flight deck. This "boot shot" was on USS Kitty Hawk in 1970. The Kitty Hawk is currently on her way to the scrapyard after being sold for 1 cent.

The Anzac class frigate was a cooperation between the RAN and RNZN. With a length of 118 meters and a beam of 14, it fell short of the size of a destroyer, but packed a similar punch and speed, hitting 27 knots or 50 km/h and sporting a 5 inch gun.
