    We will do all that we can to ensure that emerges as the Director-General of the WTO. She deserves this. I will continue to seek support from world leaders on her behalf. Whatever phone calls need to be made, whatever letters need to be sent, I will do it.

    UPDATE: Despite winning the "election" by a popular vote (104 of 164), NOI will not be named yet. The US, a country where she is also a citizen, has opposed her emergence. The highest decision making body of WTO will meet again in Nov to Find a path forward. Breath.
