  4. Light occurring across southern and southernmost . Temps are near freezing with brief areas of sleet or freezing rain. Slippery spots are possible on the roads through 10 AM. Slow down and use caution when driving.

  5. Happy ! today with highs reaching the low to mid 40s across southern . This will contribute to melt. Lingering clouds will give way to some . Lows tonight drop into the upper 20s.

    After a dicey start with some fog and icy spots, we're headed into the 40s in many towns with lots of Saturday sun....and lots of wind on the way midday through the afternoon. The mini warm-up is short lived as temperatures start to drop this afternoon.

    Much chillier out there this morning. A few flurries possible in southern Maine this morning, then clearing to plenty of afternoon sun. Temps today will have a tough time getting out of the 20s in the mountains and past freezing south.

    The air is pretty dry, dry enough to keep the summit of Mt. Washington out of the clouds so far this morning. Much of what's showing up on the radar is evaporating before reaching the ground. You may catch a few morning flurries before some afternoon sun.

    Some of you waking up to sun, others waking up to some icy conditions. Temperatures are on the rise this morning but be careful on the roads, sidewalks, driveways until they are above freezing all around.
