    It then became Merchant's Lunch, then Merchants restaurant. It had a creaky bar, wood floors, room rent by the hour, and I used to play there in crappy bands. Authentic, and still there. But what grew up around it is fake and for tourists only.

    Businesses on Gallatin Pike, Murfreesboro Pike, Charlotte Ave., & Nolensville Pike should be concerned w/ the effects losing turn lanes, but also the use eminent domain to widen the existing roads. Many businesses will lose parking & may have to relocate!

    We keep hearing people say, “I don’t like this plan, but we need to do something.” We agree that we need to do something, but it is crazy to suggest that there is no other plan that can work for Nashville. Let’s create a plan that benefits everyone in Nashville.

  8. Despite promises of affordable housing along the light rail corridors, other cities like Charlotte, NC have failed to keep their promises. It’s a bait and switch situation!

    How likely will it be that the Nashville light rail 🚇 will be on time, on budget, on spec? There are so many other cheaper options that help solve congestion issues.

    The transit plan is a DISASTER — a crony payola project supported by special interests that will NOT decrease traffic, will HURT low- and mid-income households, and will drain resources FOREVER.
