Being here in Shaw, it feels like it was just yesterday that #VonDerittMyers was killed. It's still heavy.

I just learned that #VonDerittMyers' lawyer got less than 5 minutes notice before it was announced publicly that no charges would be filed.

Why did the officer stop #VonDerittMyers? Because he reached for his waist. Did the officer see a gun? No. He just saw hands moving.

I just learned that the officer stopped #VonDerittMyers because VonDerritt looked like someone he'd previously seen that day! America.

I remember getting the first tweet saying that someone had been killed by the police. I remember learning his name was #VonDerittMyers.

And #VonDerittMyers' mother, Syreeta, has joined the protest this morning.

This is a non violent protest. She wouldn't come talk to us this morning. #VonDerittMyers parents deserve answers.
