    "6 items and more" can be an option for informative lists in which users want to get all the information. They are popular in Sports offering a team roaster, or TV guides with users willing to know what is on their favorite channels. 🥅📺

    "2 to 4 items" for many is the default option and it generally works great. They are not many items and most users can remember them. If the list is crafted showing the most relevant first, users won’t need to navigate through different levels.

    3- Importance of the election Are users looking for a recommendation or for something critical? For important elections, users will need as much information as possible. For recommendations one-shot suggestions with a single item can drastically reduce frictions.

    2- Items Nature Two main things to take into account: - How acquainted are users with the items (think of family members) - Length of the items: pick a color vs the TV catalog. If they are short items, and users already know them, you can go for a longer list.

    1- Purpose: Information vs Selection If users only want information they might need to listen to the full list even if it is lengthy, as in a sports roaster 🥅 Users that need to chose an item from that listen will need something shorter to fight with cognitive overload 🧠
