    Louisiana’s legislators and congressional delegation has always been supportive of the work we do at . was instrumental in supporting us as we applied for funding. Please continue to support us by working to get reauthorized.

    Unfortunately, with shutdown and lapse in reauthorization we are unable to draw down any dollars from our federal grants. The services we provide to survivors are critical. If VAWA is not reauthorized and shutdown continues we will deplete our minimal unrestricted funds.

  10. A reminder that an incredibly important price of legislation/funding was allowed to expire when the began two weeks ago. Many shelters, support programs, etc. are struggling to keep up without that funding. It’s not just govt workers impacted by this nonsense
