    It turns out that a well-known ethnologist Rahile Dawut has disappeared too in the midst of the ongoing carpet incarceration campaign in East Turkestan. Being born a distinct ethnic or cultural group has effectively become a crime.

    Ancient architecture has been and still is being destroyed by the government and replaced by fake newer unauthentic brick buildings built by the Chinese in an attempt to recreate the old Uyghur town adapted for touristic purposes. (French report from 2014)

    Just received a news that the man named Bilal, who has been in immigration detention in Thailand for five years, has passed away today of a blood cancer. He is said to have been stricken with the disease since last year. RIP.
