Easy signs for a tree infested with Asian subterranean termite in South Florida. Large mud tubes imbedded within the bark of the tree, with a nice orange color. Tell-tell signs.

Not sure if this is a big deal, but I made it past the national review for the Fulbright (semifinalist). Expecting an interview with the South African embassy/powers that be soon (if they request one). All I know is I'm happy I got this far and proud of what I put forward

Tomato roots galled up by the peach root-knot nematode (M. floridensis). *This species can infect resistant rootstocks (Nemaguard, Marianna 2624 and Myrobalan 29C) traditionally used to protect almond and stone fruit crops.

Aschersonia fungus & more green scale. This fungus is a predator on whiteflies! Love a good biological control, just wish there was more of it present.

My NSF case study was peer-reviewed and tentatively accepted with some revisions. What an odd process and the reviews are...interesting. They range from accept as is to this is beyond repair. LoL

Checked out a field with a fair amount of lebbeck mealybug infestation in branches, fruit, and fresh growth (their favorite)...but a lot of the sooty mold was actually from wooly whitefly (pic 3), which has been popping up in high numbers recently.
