Watched Kingdom of Heaven and The Last Duel back to back, both are pretty good but left me wanting. To cover a wide span of events they jump forward a lot which doesn't help me get invested in what's going on at any time. The music, costumes, sets, and cinematography are all ->

Watched "The Last Duel" a couple weeks back. Here's my quick review:
- It wasn't even the last judicial duel in France. That shit would go on for another two-hundred years before the private duel took fashion.

I just watched The Last Duel. It was pretty good.

Had I know The Last Duel (2021) was inspired by Kurosawa's Rashomon (1950) I would have watched it right away.
While the different viewpoints in The Last Duel are too similar to equal the brilliance of Rashomon, nevertheless this is a much better film than I had expected 8/10
