    Mrs. Dixon was my K teacher 48 years ago at Flat Creek Elem in . My memories are fond, yet limited, but I was recently reminded of her passion for her students. Facing some health issues in my early years, she was always patient & kind!

    We are absolutely delighted that all 19 trainees are able to continue their placement in their planned school. Thank you to all our schools and mentors who despite working in challenging times they are still committed to supporting trainees, without hesitation!

    Well done to for working with partner schools in Blackpool to keep the doors safely open for their school based ITT School Direct programme to fully function.Kind words from the students too!

    Couldn’t resist taking a photo today, super happy to be back in school when we didn’t think it would happen and the teachers of Blackpool are amazing to help us carry on this journey! Super excited to see how my placement goes 🥰

    I was just thinking, the NYC grade schools, problems and all, have remained open for a lot longer than most of my parent friends expected at the start of the school year re: COVID-19. Flex vs system wide decisions seem to have allowed this.

    Coach Mitch Lucas at taught me Alg 1 & 2. Daily he was prepared, passionate, & persistent in pursuit of engaged & connected learning. He was one of the reasons I went on to teach 8th grade math & coach.

    Every so often I have convos with educators and am reminded of how much I miss working in the field. Educators are working doubly hard this year not just to teach req content but to ensure kids remain engaged in this new online format. Legends.

    As many educators wrap up week one after the winter break, consider taking a moment to share a message of thanks. COVID-19 has tested the boundaries of the classroom in many ways, and Manitoba's teachers have more than risen to the challenge.
