    My friend made this graphic to put in context. The metric only captures outage depth, not duration. ERCOT reported 70.5 hours with load shedding in 2021 (potentially >1,000,000 MWh of load shedding) & 7.5 hours in 2011 (approx 19,000 MWh of load shedding)

    It made no sense. During the 2021 Winter Storm, non-critical commercial buildings maintained power while neighborhoods were left in the dark. We need to prioritize homes and community infrastructure in Texas

    Data on power outages and rolling blackouts in Texas communities during the 2021 Winter Storm should be made public. These energy disruptions were inequitable and disproportionately hurt rural and low-income areas.
