    Back in February a pair of Mistle Thrushes nested on a traffic light(!), with their eggs hatching during . Mistles are early nesters (they're known as Stormcocks), but this was early by their standards. Little did they know, they were going to be media stars (1/6)

    This cant be! We haven't had an unusual rainfall event, yet much of upper Wye catchment is topping the record flows of That was a 150-480yr return period event, 2 years ago. The insouciance of so many to why this is happening, cuts. This is what I have been dreading.
