Ten years ago today, 26 lives were cut short by an unforgivable act of violence. I am proud to have worked with to pass the STOP School Violence Act, which now funds security infrastructure & violence prevention programs to stop violence before it occurs.

In 2022, the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act was signed into law, providing funding for states to implement ERPOs, community-based violence interventions, expansion of the STOP School Violence Act, & mental health for schools. The bill also includes updates to many key GV issues
