It must be done. What mtg said Saturday night, and with all the dirt that's going to be public, We The People are going to demand it from our elected *representatives* We the people. They work for us. This has to stop. Kavanaugh parties with nazis, the Thomases are dirty. Enough.

My name is Ana María Archila. I'm a queer Latina, mother, immigrant, organizer, & nonprofit leader. Many know me for confronting Sen. Flake in an elevator to stop Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court. Now I'm running to be the next Lieutenant Governor of New York. /1

FFS, the fact is, Dems *can't* do anything about the USPS. They lack the votes, just as they lacked the votes to stop Kavanaugh, Barr, or any other of Don's destruction of the Constitution. Want to stop it? Vote. Drop off your ballot, vote in person, but vote. It's the only way.

Susan Collins’ ONE VOTE could have been the ONE to stop Kavanaugh from being confirmed, who was the SWING VOTE to overturn Roe. This was all preventable. But “moderate” republicans gave far-right justices, and candidates, the thumbs up and now our country will never be the same.

Congressman Cummings was a fierce defender of civil rights and justice his entire life. It’s no surprise that he was a leader in the fight to stop Kavanaugh and protect survivors. #RIPElijah
A photo of Representative Elijah Cummings holding a judges gavel in a court room. He looks fierce and is wearing a blue suit.

Thread. When we were in DC for weeks putting our bodies on the line to stop Kavanaugh, & I would visit Bernie. We would be exhausted. He’d encourage us, remind us we deserve better than this & tell us to keep fighting & he has our back. That’s who he is.

Pretty stupid way to put it, but a reminder that the so-called insurrection was a protest that got out of hand - like so many we had seen that summer - and hardly an actual insurrection. As pointless as occupying the Senate Office Building to stop Kavanaugh's confirmation.

“I want to tell you something, if Steve Bannon & I had organized that, we would have won. Not to mention, we would’ve been armed,” @RepMTG said last night regarding the January 6th attack on the US Capitol. Yes, she really said this, at a New York Young Republicans gathering.

There is only one person running in this race who tried to prevent the end of Roe v. Wade. As your next Lt. Governor, I will do everything in my power to ensure that New York expands abortion rights and access. And I’ll never back down. Join me: bit.ly/anamariaforny

I keep thinking about people we’ve seen removed from the Capitol in the last 4 years. The disabled people fighting for the ACA The immigrants fighting to keep families together The survivors fighting to stop Kavanaugh The Black people fighting to end police brutality.

TW: Rape When I worked at NARAL, I had to relive trauma day in & day out for MONTHS to try to #StopKavanaugh, an attempted rapist, from getting on SCOTUS. Now NARAL has endorsed a rapist for president w/ absolutely no mention of his victim. It was about the money—not the morals.

The Democrats never planned for Christine Blasey Ford to actually stop Kavanaugh's nomination or eg they'd not have played nice on his gambling debts. The truth is Ford was just an idol sacrificed to boost midterm turnout.

I think we have to accept that Neera Tanden will not be confirmed. It's the double standard women face. We're not allowed to cuss, to say mean things. They're saying it shows bias, partisanship, but blatant partisanship didn't stop Kavanaugh's confirmation to SCOTUS.
