    In 1995 I got to ink Steve Ditko on Marvel's Phantom 2040. Later in 1999 I was invited to do the cover for the fanzine Ditkomania. After it was published I sent him a copy, and he sent me a letter! Never posted this before. It has interesting comments.

    Happy Birthday to the late Steve Ditko, one of my favorite artists and co-creator of Spider-Man and Dr. Strange. Here’s a short story from Tales to Astonish 35, Sept. 1962. I read it as a kid and had recurring nightmares. It’s still frightening to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Despite them being in my DNA, I never draw superheroes. This is probably the 1st I've drawn in 5 years. Spidey's costume is a bitch! What the hell was Ditko thinking? I couldn't wait to be done.
