    Perspiring writers everywhere. commiserate with ! Always counted my many rejections as a badge of honor, esp. when "RA"—Roger Angell—pencilled words to spur me on even as he turned me down.

    I got yelled at on a phone interview by a hiring manager at Zynga because I didn’t start designing games with a literal formula in mind.

    Love this! I was the runner up for a researcher position at Northwest Afternoon (daily talk show) out of college. Stayed in contact (also called exec producer for feedback), I got offered Audience Coordinator position

    I was turned down for a NASA internship 4 times. I was so frustrated that I decided to call and speak to someone to get feedback on my application. I was offered a position over the phone.
