    Quite right. Criminalising begging is not only cruel & immoral but also counterproductive as increases vulnerability rather than supporting people out of need. Time for get rid of the Vagrancy Act 1824 which criminalises begging & rough sleeping in England & Wales

    Brilliant news that Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick said today in Parliament that the Vagrancy Act 1824 should be 'consigned to history'. Looking forward to hearing more about plans to repeal this outdated and unhelpful legislation which criminalises rough sleeping.
