    Sagan & Carson et al are fabulous. But if you're never in a place where you could see yourself in them, they're worth nothing.

    I have always loved the stars. When I was a kid, my dad and I used to sit outside with hot cocoa watching the night sky. But it was the first time I saw move brightly across the dusk sky, I was hooked. I wanted to be part of something as great as that.

    My was when I was in elementary school and my friend’s baby brother had to have surgery to fix a hole in his heart - and it worked and he was healthy/happy after - it seemed like magic! I was hooked after that 😊
