    I finally have time for recreational reading! After I saw Dr. Johnson give a witty and engaging talk at the library, I knew I had to rent his book 📖

  17. Okay so let's touch upon the other two types of real quick (basically just define them) before I switch over to the next topic. When we think science for policy we're talking about our government making legislation (laws) that are backed by science aka evidence-based.

    I would love to learn more about other countries . Do you have any insight on Spain/UK science funding? What little I know is from the anxieties of Brexit.

  19. Let's talk about where R&D funding comes from in the U.S. The main two are industry (private) and government. Since this is a chat we'll focus on gov spending. U.S. Government spending can be broken up into two categories: mandatory spending & discretionary spending.
