  2. From Vietnam to Bosnia, the United States has often welcomed refugees fleeing wars. Our moral standing as a nation depends on our generosity during times of humanitarian crises. Now is the time to rekindle that spirit and welcome refugees once again.

    Twenty years we spent in Afghanistan and this is the thanks our allies get? This is the thanks women, children, LGBTQ+ folks get? Fly them out now! Give them refuge! You can plan better than this!

  15. We must take in every refugee we can manage from this mistake of a war. Oregon must do its part to welcome Afghan refugees, who will enrich our state as have countless generations of refugees and immigrants before them. (8/8)

    Yesterday, said that Afghan SIVs did not want to be evacuated, while we know over 18K of Afghan SIV applicants have been waiting for a Visa for over 3 years! you have the moral responsibility to do the right thing.
