    Many people around us slept in relief centres last night as their PM slept in a luxury resort. Some will return to nothing as he returns to the comforts of Kirribilli House. Try telling those people his holiday wasn't ill-timed or ill-conceived.

    Hills friends - my parents at Mount George are out of the fire zone and are offering their paddocks to anyone needing a safe place to keep horses or other livestock. There’s shade and drinking water. If you message me, I can put you in touch ❤️

    Do not enter the area?! Mate, they can't leave either!! One lady is stuck in her bathtub full of water, with the fire raging around her.

    : Bushfires have spread across the northern side of Kangaroo Island, now stretching from Seal Beach to Emu Bay. The blazes are uncontrolled, with conditions continually changing. Do not enter the area as conditions are dangerous.

    At least 10,000 hectares burnt through in the Adelaide Hills where the bushfire is expected to burn for a number of days still. At least 4 homes destroyed- that number will likely rise. Thoughts are with the and the community.

    Second confirmed person has died in the . Awful news. Yesterday, many firefighters in the were injured. 1500+ firefighters, 400+ trucks battling the fires in SA alone. Thinking about all that are affected by these horrendous fires. Please, stay safe 🙏

    Just remember as you hear the reports that 1 hectare is a little over 2 acres So 200,000 hectares,is nearly 500,000 acres. A HUGE amount of Australia is burning
