    Why are we planting trees in Bududa? Forests and trees have a role in providing a physical barrier to the movement of landslide material, as well as trapping material and gradually releasing it with reduced impact.

  15. With Land area of 24,210,536 ha and Tree cover at only 6,397,067 ha, according to a report in 2018, there's need to plant more trees especially in Bududa area where the land needs to be compact enough to eliminate landslides.
