There is no more blood to be squeezed from this stone! $2bn target?! Theres no evidence there’s anywhere near this much welfare fraud. Policies like are very dangerous. Instead of attacking the vulnerable, they should start taxing the multinational tax avoiders!

They are rebadging with the claim that they have fixed the algorithm that calculates annual salary versus welfare payments. Which we all know means that it will still be a failure but will place even greater onus on recipients to prove the is extorting them.

  4. the system around shows that even small honest discretions are penalised severely . sympathy for dodgy politicians does not fit.

gov corruption has flourished for many years with minimal MSM scrutiny. Eg. illegal took 4 years & a legal action by victims to finally break into MSM. The lack of accountability for these systemic rorts is likely to slip back under the radar

Community legal centres aren’t the same as legal aid. Their complementary roles and respective inadequate federal funding need much closer scrutiny given they help vulnerable people, including victims of the outrage - my heart goes out to Mark Leahy

  7. This is the epitome of LNP : millions $$ to already wealthy sports clubs in their own marginal seats, but to those who need help a and lethal .

They said something similar about and look how that has turned out? Cost billions to save millions and was totally illegal and will probably have to pay compensation. All without even mentioning the social and personal costs to people who were trying to do right thing.

Fraser wasn’t PM Andrew. What about ? Lots of rorts & corruptions. But is a blatant wilful Fraud & Extortion by Govt. Knowingly using a dodgy algorithm. Of thousands of targeted, defamed, stitched-up Australian citizens. GG should dismiss on Fraud.

He should contact and join a class action!! That would really shake up the corrupt arseholes running our country! The only way to get them to pay attention is legal action. Look at history of actions by individuals.

  17. Welfare recipients were setting up to fail by being asked to estimate their income rather they report what was earned. Excluding income averaging, people will have done their best to report and still gotten a debt due a system the government now admits is too complex

  18. is being rebranded by the despots running Australia. It isn't because it makes economic sense. It is simply because this authoritarian regime has psychopathic tendencies. When they discovered there were 2030 deaths they showed no remorse. They should be neutered.

Cannot make this up. Federal Court rules illegal & class action launched. In all likelihood huge compensation to be paid by taxpayers for Morrison Govt incompetence & mendacity. Notwithstanding Govt to launch Robodebt 2.0.

Make no mistake about it; this government has the death of every single person who took their own life over on their hands; its not that seeking overpayments was wrong it's the way that it was done & lack of accuracy. In business one has to prove a debt, not robodept
