    Today’s was “power & the people Scrabble” 10 questions that pupils had to play on a scrabble board. Great way to get them thinking about the power of the words they use. Thanks to for the template.

    I think the enthusiasm for retrieval grids is a) great for , and b) depending on their design, potentially dangerous for working memory If you run into this problem, I've proposed some solutions... If you don't: it's all good!

    Working on by making MC quizzes. Students take a self marking quiz that shuffles the order each time it is taken. The marks get added to a pivot table and students can see their progress over time

    Wow! used two things, paired with a stir the class. Ss helped each other to retrieve more information. Rather than asking kids what questions they had, they realized their empty boxes on the two things were the question generators.

    Vocabuary timelines: a nice task that develops period-specific vocabulary for any course covering a long time period. Particularly when there are different nouns over time for the same thing...! Can be categorised if that's helpful.
